Hi, I’m Cindy — the accidental Airbnb host who fell in love with hosting.
Back in 2021, I bought my very first investment duplex in this little town called Windsor, Ontario. Because there were two units, I thought, “Why not play it safe?” One unit would be a steady long-term rental, and the other… well, after a nudge from my amazing realtor, I decided to give Airbnb a try.
Here’s the twist: I had zero experience as a host (though I was a very loyal Airbnb guest!). And since I was living in Toronto at the time, there was no way I could be there in person to handle every detail. So, I teamed up with a seasoned Airbnb property manager in Windsor-Essex, and honestly, it was the best decision ever. They showed me the ropes, and I soaked up every bit of knowledge during that first whirlwind year.
After gaining confidence (and making my fair share of funny hosting mistakes), I finally took over the day-to-day operations myself. Fast forward to today, over four years of hosting experience later, I’ve combined everything I’ve learned as both an Airbnb host and an at least a decade-old landlord to help others start their own hosting journeys without the headaches and stress.
